How We Source This
By Mainstreet AI LLC · Updated
Treasure Valley Info is an independent local information guide published by Mainstreet AI LLC. Our goal is to save Treasure Valley residents and visitors time by gathering the official and most useful local resources in one place, organized by what you're trying to do, and adding the local context a newcomer wouldn't otherwise have. This page explains how the site is researched, written, and kept current, so you can judge how much to trust what you read here.
What we publish
Two kinds of content. First, original local guides and explainers — the prose on each category page and the long-form articles in our Guides section. These are written to answer real questions a resident or newcomer asks: how the golf season works here, what to expect from valley weather, how to set up utilities, which level of government handles what. Second, a curated directory of links to official and community sources — city and county pages, state agencies, the National Weather Service, Idaho 511, local venues, and trusted local organizations — each with a short, original description of what you'll find there and why it matters.
How we choose and verify resources
- Official sources first. When a government agency, utility, or institution maintains an authoritative page, we link to it directly rather than to a third party that paraphrases it.
- We check that links work and point where they should. Entries are verified at the time of writing, and we re-check periodically. If a resource looks unverified or a site has changed, we flag or remove it.
- Local relevance. We include resources that genuinely serve the Treasure Valley — Ada and Canyon counties and the surrounding communities — not generic national pages.
- We don't republish others' content. We summarize, contextualize, and link out. Where we describe a fact (a fee, a season, a deadline), we point you to the authoritative source to confirm it.
Accuracy and updates
Every content page carries a visible "Last updated" date. Local information changes — fees, schedules, contacts, and seasonal details — so we treat time-sensitive items as something to verify at the source, and we say so on the page. We are a small operation and cannot independently audit every agency's data in real time; where accuracy matters (deadlines, safety, money), always confirm directly with the official source. If you spot something out of date or wrong, please tell us via our contact page and we'll fix it.
Corrections
We welcome corrections and suggestions for resources to add. Email scott@mainstreetaisolutioning.com with the page and the specific item, and a source if you have one. We try to respond within a few business days.
